Profiles In a somewhat unique partnership, Steve and Clint harmoniously contribute their joint and specialists skills to both simple and complex engineering projects, particularly roading and subdivision undertakings from inception to completion. Steve Gibson   - Bachelor of Civil Engineering 1977; Member IPENZ 1982 (Civil & Structural) 2003; CPeng 2003; IntPE 2003. Founding director Steve brings 30 years experience in civil engineering, especially in the roading infrastructure area, to the Northern Civil enterprise. In the partnership, Steve concentrates more on the behind-the-desk economics, inter-specialist co-ordination and communications associated with complex projects. He is also responsible for consents applications and has demonstrated significant skills in handling negotiations associated with Treaty of Waitangi issues. Clint Hanger   - Master Business Administration 2001; NZCE (Civil) 1992; Member IPENZ 2003; CPEng (2003) Clint joined Northern Civil one year after Steve established the practice in 1989, immediately establishing his talents for civil design involving roading infrastructure, subdivision and land-based activities, along with managerial and supervisory skills in the company's activities. Clint is reponsible for overall office and staff management, having built a formidable team from the original two-man-band operation to a current staff of nine. At times he is responsible for managing and/or coodinating project staff of 20 or more. He quickly took on respnsponsibility for project management, supervision and co-ordination of construction work, managing large roading projects for clients such as Transit New Zealand. In more recent times this responsibility has extended to an increasing practice involvement in today's highly specialised residential and commercial sub-division design and development work.
